Having a dog is like having a child, they both need a lot of attention once you have them. It is your responsibility to learn which foods are good and which could harm your dog. Here is a list of 5 Toxic Foods to Avoid when feeding your furry friend.

  1. Avocado

Avocado contains persin toxin which can cause vomiting and diarrhea in dogs. Make sure your dog isn't near avocados. The seeds can also cause unhealthy issues and can be very dangerous.

  1. Nuts and Fruits

Nuts such as Almonds, Peanuts, Walnuts, and Raisins include large amounts of oils and fats. Grapes also contain a lot of sugar. If your dog eats a lot of nuts or sweet fruits it can cause vomiting, diarrhea and pancreatitis.

  1. Chocolate 

The word “Chocolate” sounds very appealing to many people. But no matter how delicious it is, it can be very harmful for your dog. People wonder if dark or white chocolate is more toxic. Both are very harmful, but if we have to be more specific, dark chocolate is more dangerous. Side effects include diarrhea, vomiting, heart problems, seizures that can even cause death. Please avoid giving chocolate to your dog at all costs.

  1. Sugar in various foods

Giving your dog sugar can lead to weight gain and diabetes. I am sure you want to avoid going to your vet and spending thousands of dollars for dental services. Don’t feed your dog foods that contain a lot of sugar.

  1. Milk and Dairy products

Milk and dairy products aren't recommended for your dog. Eating too much dairy can cause diarrhea, digestive problems, and even allergies.
